Holiday Homework for class 2



ENGLISH

1. Handwriting practice- one page daily (To be done in rough notebook/ sheet).
2. Write 5 words having short and long vowel along with alternates ( To be done in notebook).
3. Learn the poem from the video (Children's Morning Prayer)
4. Read one story and write 5 new words and make a sentence from those 5 words (In notebook).


EVS

1. Introduce your family- make a FAMILY TREE by pasting a photograph of your family members and writing their names.(To be done on an A4 sheet)
2. Draw and write about any one activity you do with your family in free time. (To be done in notebook)
3. Draw and colour the picture of your school and write 5 sentences about it.( To be done in Notebook).


HINDI

1. Draw a picture showing the weather of Summer (Garmi) and colour it beautifully.
2. Write all 'SWAR' showing their 'MATRA' and write 2 words by using all matras.
3. Try to write 3 to 4 short sentences about your favourite fruit.
Note: All activities are to be done in note book


MATH

1. Write the number names from 1 to 20 and 30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100 in the notebook.
2. Solve exercise 1.1 to 1.10 of chapter 1 (Numbers up to 999)  from MENTAL MATH book.
Note: Those who have the book can solve it there and those who do not have the book can solve in notebook.

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER

                                                                                  
One day, in a field, a Grasshopper was chirping, singing and hopping about for fun. An Ant passed by carrying an ear of corn back to his nest. “Why not come and chat with me,” said the Grasshopper, “instead of doing all of that work?” “I am helping to store up food for the winter,” said the Ant, “and suggest you do the same.” “Why to bother about winter?” said the Grasshopper, “We have got plenty of food at the moment.” The Ant went on its way and continued its work. When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and was dying of hunger. The Ant, however, had plenty of food to last all through the winter from his hard work in the summer.
